This morning the Band of Brother players start from Utah Beach Landing Museum for a little walk with Overlord 76 World War II foundation

It is at 8 am, Thursday, May 28 that the special convoy from Le Havre arrived on Utah Beach site. On board, a huge box of 14 t, containing a replica of a LCVP (Landing Craft Vehicle and Personnel), ie the landing craft invented in the US, by the manufacturer of Andrew Jackson Higgins boats during the Second world War. 23398 LCVP will be built during this period and use by the US military will last well beyond.

Offered by the Americans, this barge built steel is the twin sister of the one exposed in Columbus, birthplace of the inventor. Three statues of soldiers in 1944, will complete the memorial which will be inaugurated on June 6, 11 am 30.
