Enemies and brothers

16,00

In June 1944, Johannes Börner was 19 years old and Léon Gautier 21. The first, a paratrooper in the German army, had been "trained" in the cult of the Führer; the second, a Free French commando, had been raised in the glorious memory of his elders of the First World War.

These two elite soldiers will participate in the battle of Normandy in the front line, each convinced to fight for the good cause. One will know the exhilaration of victory, the other the humiliation of defeat and prison camps. Seventy years later, they both live in the same place, Ouistreham. These two former enemies are driven by the same motivation: to pass on their experience to the younger generations so that humanity no longer experiences the horror of the Second World War.
